Think-more Reading Club is announcing a Reading/Spelling Competition for both adults of 18 – 25 years and children of 5 – 13 years. It is obvious that our youths are not what our fathers are/where because a certain culture is missing, which is the Culture of Reading. The ability to handle tough situation or make difficult decision is quickly vanishing in these present times because even our students in school are losing the stamina to sit on their books for a long time. One the strongest problem of Nigeria today among our youths especially; is that they lack proper information of true value, they depend on social media to inform them on what success is and is not. Therefore, this give birth to a continuous laziness to approach life the proper way. I asked myself what made our fathers do better even in the dark days and accomplish so much with so little and yet today’s young people accomplish almost nothing even with so much that is available. I discovered that our fathers had MOTIVATION; this means they were self-motivated to change their immediate environment; have a better life and make the world they live in a beautiful and easy place to live. This is why Thinkmore Organization was created to change the narratives, to give to the young people the motivation to read again and be properly enlightened with a project called READ/SPELLINGS COMPETITION. This project has helped so many of the student in the University of Uyo get their heart back to reading again and even find a better reason for reading books of different kinds.
